The every person heart problem

As most of you know my brother had open heart surgery recently. Praise the Lord that everything went good and his recovery seems to be going great! Through this experience I have drawn closer to God then ever before. And that is what God wants, for us to allow Him to guide us through our storms. God's comfort is a peace that I can't describe, but I tell you there is nothing like it in this world.

The condition that my brother had could be fixed by any modern day heart surgeon, but the truth is we all need heart surgery. A heart problem that only God can fix and do His work within us. It starts by repenting of the sin that consumes us. Turning from sin and embracing Christ and knowing that salvation is only through Christ(Acts 4:12). It starts by realizing that we need a savior to save us! Only God is mighty to save. That is why God gave us the free gift of Jesus. Nothing that our works can earn (Ephesians 2:8-9), but receive by submitting our hearts and lives over to Christ. Putting our trust and faith in Him. True saving faith will always respond in obedience (Ephesians 2:10).

What is your view of God? Would you humble yourself in the presence of God and allow him to fix your heart? I pray that you would get with God, ask Him to show you your heart. God wants to fix your heart, go, get on your knees and make that appointment with God.

There is no point to this life without Jesus! A life without Jesus leads to death. Proverbs 16:25 says "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death". Pick up a Bible and read it. Come to understand who God is, not from our human perspective, but from a Biblical perspective.

1 John 2:6 says "Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did."

Jesus demands that we live above the world standard! Most of what we gain here on earth will be lost when this life ends. We are only passing through, our true home is either with God in heaven, or in hell outside of the presence of God. The path to God in heaven goes through Jesus Christ (John 14:6).

Following Christ isn't simply a decision, it's a surrender.

Have a Blessed weekend! Press on as you pursue God! You are loved!
